Hi all,

I'm having trouble with the Date System.

In the same spreadsheet, it seems I need the 1904 system for displaying negative time values, however, this date system corrupts other time values fetched on a PivotTable (using sum calculation), which work as expected using the 1900 system.

Using the 1904 system, time values (with the "37:30:55" format) are "0:08:45" on the cell and "35088:08:45" on the PivotTable...

I hope I don't have to use a workaround such as subtracting 35088 from the value, but I'll try it as I wait for a reply here.

Thanks to all in advance,
Newton

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Hi all,

The most elegant workaround I found was not to display the negative time values, thus, not using the 1904 date system.

Instead of having a single "Balance" column, I now have "Credit" and "Debit" columns, which display positive values. Works for me.

However, if there is a solution for the problem, any help is still appreciated

Thanks,
Newton
