    formula qestion

    I need help understanding how this formula works =SUBTOTAL(9,C2:C187 This is used for payroll, the sheet has employees with hours worked over a two week period. I have totaled the hours by employee in a separate column and it does not equal the total in C. Any help will be appreciated!
