GOOGLE SHEETS: Treat text as a blank cell when running a calculation
Hi! I have a rather complex rating sheet that I am attempting to proliferate throughout my company. I have encountered the first use error in the wild when a coworker entered "NA" for a rating, rather than leaving the cell blank, which appears to have messed up my calculations. Take a text string from a cell and add them together to get a single value
in excel i have a vba code that gives values in cell H9 as a string in the following format: "2709.504, 10012.464, 16052.4" and i want to be able to in the cell over (I9) preform =2709.504+ 10012.464+16052.4. and give 28744.368. how would i be able to do this in excel or vba. thanks- standardexceluser

Calculation on Strings
Suppose I have a string like TBU/EVE/234 and i want the next strings to be TBU/EVE/235, TBU/EVE/236,TBU/EVE/237 in different cells. what formula or functions can i use to achieve that Thanks in advance for your quick help. FRED- kwebihaf
