XREPLACE is a powerful find/replace solution allowing for replacing by any or all of four categories, i.e. value and/or count and/or type and/or length; single or multiple elements within each category; and control over priorities of all categories
I developed XREPLACE in response to feedback I...
see i have a row with lengths i have then i have column for lengths required. so what i want to do is that i have to give lengths from lengths i have and fill it into the lengths required.
I have a string similar to this 1,9,7,11,8,10
I need a formula that would find 11 , the string can be different lengths so the number is not always in the same position.
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to insert a decimal in to be the third character from the right in a sheet with about 5000 different rows all of different lengths. So one row might be 12345 that needs to be 123.45 and the next might be -2345678 that needs to be -23456.78.
Thanks in advance.
I need a formula to work out number of rolls for X amount of lengths an I can' have part of a length from different roll
For example if I have a roll size of 20 metes and lengths of 3 metres, for 12 lengths it is easy 12 x 3m = 36m divided by 20m rl = 2 Rolls
The issue becomes when it goes up...
Hi,
I have been fiddling with this logic, but I can't seem to make it work.
Basically I just want to transpose arrays with varying lengths using the Ubound property.
Here is the original code:
Set rng = Range("VBAOutput")
rng.offset(0, 229).Value = Application.Transpose(array)
THANKS
Hello,
If A1 has the work TROPICAL, is there a formula that can break apart the letters so they appear as follows: (Note: A1 could have varying lengths of words)
A2 = T
A3 = R
A4 = O
A5 = P
A6 = I
A7 = C
A8 = A
A9 = L
Hey guys.
Tricky one.
I have Lengths in Column A1 to A50 these lengths always vary.
I want to add 20 to whatever length is within this column.
However, I can't use any formula fields in this column as this is fed directly to our machines.
Can I somehow (magically) look at this field and add...
I’ve created a template file for us to use that we copy & paste a CSV for every job. Most of it is locked (per boss’ request). In this template file I have a table that looks at the most common lengths in one column of the CSV. The formula’s you guys gave work great, but there’s a snag that I...
What formula, or combination of formulae, would be uses to look at all the numbers in a column and calculate the three sheet lengths they would fit best on. (does that make sense?)
Goal: To determine which three sheet lengths would be most efficient for the part lengths to nest into for a given...
PROBLEM
I need to extract the Length and the Width (to do some calculations) of each product that comes through my system.
ANALYSIS
The data is held in one Excel cell and looks like this :-
(various lengths of data) – L1111m, W222mm, T33um – (other various lengths data)
or (various lengths of...
So.. I'm trying to create something in excel that can help us keep track of cutting fabric. Let's say I started out with a 500' X 72" roll of fabric. and then let's say I start to make cuts on it.
So let's say I cut off 130' by 40" wide. It would leave me with 370' X 72" and then a remainder...
Hello, I have a column with measurements in mm eg 4000 these represent timber lengths
I also have a column of available lengths on a separate sheet. eg 4200
I would like to lookup or match a length that can be used ie 4000 can be cut from 4200
So basically I am looking for a method to search...
Pretty sure this one should be an easy one for you guys and I probably just need putting on the right track with it.
Can't believe I haven't solved it myself yet but here goes.
We have a product which can be supplied in any run length. This run length is divided into smaller pieces for...
I'm fairly new to Excel so bare with me. I'm trying to figure out a formula that will add how many 10' lengths of any given material needed. For example if If I need Qty. 30 32" pieces cut out of a 10' length, how may 10' lengths do I need?
