    Do merged cells have double the capacity?

    As I understand it a merged cell has a capacity of 32767 characters. If I merge 2 cells does the merged cell now have 32767 x 2 = 65534 character capacity? Would 3 have x 3? Also, what's the limit that a textbox on a userform can display? Thanks all!
