Why macro is slow? (auto_open does some page setup)

I have excel worbook, which has 12 sheet. All sheets need some setting up for printing, I am doing that with Auto_Open macro. Macro sets up printarea, and pagesetup (eg footers, orieantation etc) ... I wonder what makes macro REALY slow, it runs about 45 minutes. Macro is done by recording, and Application.Screenupdating=False added in order to get some speed. What might couse this slowness, it is not memory, there is some 100 megs available memory when macro is running.
