true 'last cell' in worksheet

I'm sure that everyone has experienced the way that Excel 97 fails to keep proper track of the last cell in a worksheet. For example, create a new workbook and enter something into cell AA100. Pressing <ctrl><home> and <ctrl><end> will move you correctly between the first cell (A1) and the last cell (AA100). Now delete the value in cell AA100 and place another value in cell M50. Using the <ctrl><home> and <ctrl><end> keys still moves you back and forthe between AA100 and A1, even though M50 is now the true 'last cell' in the worksheet.

Does anyone know of a way to correct this behaviour in Excel 97?

You can do this fast by saving the workbook. Or, put this

ActiveSheet.UsedRange
