Trouble calling macro be variable name

Application.Run "'workbook1.xls'!Addb2date"
how do I call these from a macro when I need to call tehm using a vaiable as the name.
My variable is "shortbookname"
which could have the value of several spreadsheets names. All of the books I call have a macro titled "Addb2date" and I would like to call that one.
Any suggestions.

I decided to call a subroutine in the meantime an use the case funtion to choose which one i run. I would still like an answer but don't kill yourself.
