select active cell

How can I select the active cell to copy -
I tried:

Select ActiveCell

but that doesn't work.

or you could just use

Selection.Copy

It is not necessary to select a cell to copy it .........

..... for example :-

[A1].Copy [B1]

copies cell A1(on the active worksheet) and pastes it to cell B1.
