Please help with Worksheet Name=A1

Is there a way to give the worksheet the same name as the value of A1? I called a local helpline and they said it can't be done. I thought I'd seen it done somewhere before.

Write a macro like this

Sub tabname()
ActiveSheet.Name = Range("A1")
End Sub
