Open Excel from VB without running excel Macros

Hi All ,

Can somebody help me with this one - Thanks in advance.

I am trying to open an Excel Work Book which has events in Work book open event . When I open it in VB , I dont want the Macros to fire . Can I protect the sheet in VB w/o using Open . Or can I disablke the macros in excel when opening from VB.

go to tools--options--general..tick the macro virus
protection..when u open your excel..choose disable
macro
