In lotus i had a macro that would start a procedure then propmt for information, I would enter the information hit enter and it would complete the operation. the code for lotus was {?}~. what is the method for doing this in excel. I have been looking for three days and can't seem to find any thing. Maybe you have the answer...Thanks

You can utilize the INPUTBOX Function. Click on help and type INPUTBOX and it will explain the syntax
