How to run macro without opeing excel file?

I want to run excel macro when i click on file name, without opening this file, so that user would not see excel spreadsheet and in the end i just need to see a message box that conversion is completed.

Hi Galina

Cannot be done I'm afraid. The best you could probably do is have a Workbook_Open macro within the Workbook that sets the Workbook Visible Property to False and does it's stuff then closes the Workbook.
