Deactivating Auto_Open Macro's

Does any one know if there is a way to De-Activate an Auto_Open Macro from a Macro in a Different workbook when you open the workbook containing the Auto_Open Macro? (Ok, I know it sounds bad.)
I have a number of "history" workbooks that contain information update macro's that are executed when the workbook is opened. But I want to be able to print the workbooks from a macro contained in another workbook. So I need a way to deactivate the Auto_Open Macro (module) without removing it (Because I might need it update its' information at another time) so that I can print it.
