Application.Calculation

Hi,
I am having problems between Excel 97 and Excel 2000. I connect to a database and downlownd some values and I use the Application.Calculation to count them. It works fine in Excel 2000 and when I try to use it with Excel 97 it will not work. I get the following error message "Run Time error 1004 Method'Calculation' of object '_Application' failed.
In a different project I have used this Applciation.Calculation function and it has worked with no problems.
Any ideas?

Application.Calculation "Returns or sets the calculation mode." Not sure how you would use this to count values.

The Application.Calculation sets the calculation mode. Sorry about the confusion.
