What is the Pivot Table Limitation to unique entries in a field???

I have a sheet from A1 to Q43000 and I am trying to do some pivot tables but the error I get is "A field in your source data has more unique items than can be used in a Pivot Table. Microsoft may not be able to create the table or a blank one will be created.

I would like to know what is the limit of uniqe values in any given field for Pivot Tables.
