Pivot Tables and (Blank)

Posted by Joan on June 06, 2001 8:01 AM

I have a pivot table in which a column of data has (blank) in cells. The underlying data actually is an empty cell--nothing is in the cell, I've double and triple checked. How can I get the pivot table results to leave these cells empty?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

TIA,
Joan

Assuming you are referring to a row or column field, and not a data field, you can double click on the field in the PivotTable Wizard and select "Blanks" under "Hide Items".

Hope I understood your problem properly.

Barrie

Barry,

Thanks so much for your quick response. I feel silly asking the question here as further reading through the message board did provide the solution. Back in May, Susie asked the same question and the solution is to hit the spacebar in the blank cells in datasheet. Apologies for asking something already answered.

Again, thanks!!!
