charts from pivot tables

I want to make several charts using data from a
single pivot table. The problem is when I change
the pivot, the charts change as well. Is there
any way to make the chart not update with the
pivot table once I'm satisfied with the chart?

Hi Maura,

You can make charts from Excel 2000 pivot tables easily.
You go through the usual steps of choosing chart wizard,
then your chart type, etc. Then what happens is that
instead of using the default "Data Range" tab, click
on the tab behind it, "Series". Choose your X and Y
variables from here. This will allow you to make your
chart from a pivot table.
