Embedding XL in Power Point causes problems

I have an Excel workbook. The Workbook_Open hides all the menubars. The Before_Close restores all the menu bars.

Someone pointed out that if you copy anything, and paste into a blank power point presentation, Power Point will run Workbook_Open, Before_Close, and this exposes the menus back in Excel.

When you leave PowerPoint and go back to Excel, all of the menus are there.

We don't want the menus available. Some cocky users are flaunting this power point trick to get them back.

Any ideas?

I don't know if this suits your needs, but many times when I am pasting a table or a chart in Powerpoint, I will paste it as a bitmap image, rather than pasting the actual sheet or chart. I copy the chart, paste it in Paint and copy it again, this time as an image, then paste it in Powerpoint. This ensures that the data can't be changed and it seems to resize better. HTH.

Use picture instead of bitmap: takes up less space and displays crisper images. Only use bitmap when picture is too big and gets truncated in the process. Also valid for pasing Excel to Word.
Good luck.
