Weird Problem,,,,,Please Help !!!!

I've been working on this spreadsheet, and all of the sudden tonight, every cell that I have set up to enter a percentage in has freaked out.
The cells are formatted for percentage 0.000%
When it was working correctly if I entered 5 it showed 5.000%, 6.25 it showed 6.250% and so on. Now all of the sudden when I try to enter a number in percentage cells it is showing 100 times too much. If I enter 5 it shows 500.000%, if I try 6.25 it shows 625.000%. I have no idea what has happened, but if someone can tell me how to fix it I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

I went to try to recreate the problem and it happened on mine too. Whichever cells are responding wrong, delete the cell and re-enter the number. Applying the percentage formatting multiplies the value by 100, so if you enter it first, then format it, you'll get what you're getting. To correct it, delete which ever numbers are showing up wrong, format the cell, and then re-enter the value. I hope you don't have many of them!!

Good luck,
Aron

I think I already tried that, but it was also 11:30 at night, going to try again, not sure if that will help, if you have any other suggestions please feel free to tell me.

thanks

Just tried that, and it didn't help, the really strange thing is all of the affected cells were already formatted, and hadn't been changed in a while, and also whatever happened affected the entire wookbook, not just one sheet.
Please help !!!!!!

Your file may be corrupted....But, insert a new worksheet and divide the contents on the previous page by 100 and apply the appropriate format.

Good luck
