Weird fault

I have a user that has been using the BT billing progrm but since using it when you go into any spreadsheet in Excel as soon as you pick a cell it becomes like it's scroll locked on and you can't unchoose it and simply drags open acells in the direction you move the mouse. Any takers?

just guessing...
is it always that user, rather than that BT programme ?
maybe (s)he has defined user settings in windows that are stuffing things up ? Also, try looking at :
Tools
Options
General
Zoom on roll with intellimouse
if it's ticked, and not an intellimouse it might be sending wrong signals to Excel
