Subtotals

I often use subtotal but recently saw a very interesting spreadsheet where both the rows and columns had subtotals on one page (not a pivot table). Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Kevin, once you apply subtotals using the Data
Subtotals... menu command you can insert columns
and use any function you wish. Just keep in mind
that nested SUBTOTAL() functions will produce 0.
I suspect you're seeking some sort of built-in,
wizard-enabled method to accomplish this, but
other than PivotTables I don't believe one exists.
