STUCK!

Anyone,

I have lists of customers (in excel) from 2 companies and need to identify the customers in common. I have tried pivot tables, sorting, filtering and can't seem to get a workable solution. I need an output that shows a list of customers in common. This would be easy if excel accepted SQL statments. Please advise on how to create a solution that only shows a list of customers that both companies have in common.

Thanks

Jon,

My first inclination would be to use Access. Since you mentioned SQL I'm sure you're aware of how trivial this would be in a database. I'm guessing you have your reasons for not using Access.

My second suggestion then would be to create two arrays and compare them. If you get a match, then put that value into a third array. Then put those array values into cells or whatever you want to show the common customers.

hope this helps.
