Special Series

I need to make a special series in my workbook. I need to enter a series (1,2,3,etc.) down rows, but leave 6 rows blank in between each number......Is there an easy solution for this...Example:

Lets say you wanted to this is column A. In A1 type 1. In A8 type =1+a1.
Now Copy cells A2 through A8. Now select as far as you need to go and select copy. Note your copy are must be divisable by 7 or you will get an error.
If you want to get rid of the formulas, you can now highlight all or column A, copy it and paste special values over it.
