Shrinking Columns

spreadsheet is saved, then when reopened, the columns have shrunk in size...widthwise This can often be fixed by closing the whole program and then reopening the program and then the file. That is not always convenient, however -- and if the files are shared, sometimes other users don't pick up on what happened and save the file with the too small columns, in which case each column has to be fixed manually.

Any Ideas?
