Shade part of a cell

If i divide a cell with diagonal lines can I shade one of the triangles formed?

Not an answer to your exact question, but you could draw a triangle from the autoshapes option in the drawing toolbar..... then right click in it and select format options to colour it (say) light grey or light green, but selecting "semi-transparent"
