Saving in CSV or PRN file format

I have a spreadsheet saved in .xlt format which I use from time to time to calculate prices of items using data inputted onto the spreadsheet. How should I save both the data & the results of each use? At present the .xlt file takes up 50kb of memory & because I save the whole thing each time in .xls format, each save costs me about 50kb on a floppy. For example, I believe that the data & results could be saved in .csv or .prn format but can't find any guidance on how to do this. Can someone please advise me so that I can hold more than a mere 1440/50 = 28 records on a floppy disc.

When selecting "Save As", just change the "Save As Type" box to your desired type (CSV).

Presumably the .csv files would have to be saved
on the same floppy as the template then & a copy of the .xlt placed on the next floppy when the current one filled up?
