How do save an Excel spreadsheet as a bitmap. I want an image of the spreadsheet to insert in another program that recognizes .bmp

If what you are asking for is a screen shot of the excel spreadsheet then :

Bring up the spreadsheet you want a .bmp of, then press ALT+PRINT SCREEN. Open the Paint application and select PASTE from the edit menu. This will create a .bmp file of the screen which you can import into any program that recognizes that format. This will only show you exactly what is on the screen at the time, so if the spreadsheet you want is larger than one screen you will have to repeat this process for each screen.

Hope this helps,

Rick

Press Print Screen, then open your graphics program and paste (NT)

I need the spreadsheet only, not a screen shot. Is there a way to do it? thanks

You could edit the picture in your image editor using the selector in Paint for example.

Screen Print key will do the whole window, Alt+ScreenPrint will do the active sheet. JSW
