Remove blank space from column

Has anyone out there got a way of automatically removing blank lines from a list of names within a column, whilst leaving the column next to it unaltered.

I'm not exactly sure if this is what you want, but you can select all the blank cells by highlighted your range and going to Edit - Goto - Special -Blanks to select your blanks. Then you can play with the options under delete by right clicking. Sorry if this isn't automatic enough.
