Hi Brent
To eliminate a possible Workbook_Open macro causing this, open the file from within Excel with the Shift key held down.
If you do get it open right click on the sheet picture, top left next to "File" and select "View Code". See if there is any code in there. Then while still in the VBE go to Edit>Find and look for "Auto_Open()" in the "Current Project"
I would suggest copying all Worsheets to a new Workbook, as it may well be corrupt. To do this Right click on any sheet name tab and select "Select all Sheets". Then tick "Copy" and copy them to a new Workbook. If you have Modules then Export them to your hard drive and then Import them into your new Workbook.
You should also only save the Workbook as one format (unless really needed), eg; 2000 only or 97 only don't Save As multiple versions.
