Protection

Is there a way to protect cells (formulas) in a worksheet without protecting the whole sheet? I do bank recons on a monthly basis through Excel, but 3-4 other people are also using these same spreadsheets, and for some reason, they keep changing the formulas. I need to protect the formulas, but we still need to be able to insert lines, etc.

Best way is protect sheet, (only the selected cells)
OK Ctrl+A (Select all cells in sheet)
R click
Select Format cells
Click tab PROTECTION
Click OFF locked
i dont passwork so click OK
now click any cell
click on any cell you wich to protect
now hold down CTRL key and click all the others (Sti holding down CTRL - so all your chosen will be selected)
R Click
Select Protection Change to Locked
Click Ok
Now click the toolbar tools - protection - protect sheet
Now when you tryto change you chosen cells the magic is you cant change it.

Hope that helps.

To undo protection
Tools - protection - un protect (no password unless password protected)
