I know this is Excel 101, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to create a numbered column on the left side of my spreadsheet. I tried "print row and column headings" but that won't work since the headings push my first entry to #2. What's the easiest way to do this.

enter 1 in a1,enter 2 in a2,click in a1 and drag to a2 move cursor to bottom right corner of a2 and when it changes to crosshairs "+" drag down the column for as far as you need.
