Playing sound in Excel

is it possible to play a wave sound in excel? If so how?

Fred,

Go to Insert/Object. Scroll down until you see wave sound. Once picked, you will see another dialog box called "Sound Object in Book 1". On this dialog box choose Edit/Insert File. This will bring up another dialog box. Simply locate your file and choose open. You have to double click on the speaker icon to hear the file.
