Opening a document

A coworker of mine was working in a document and accidently pushed something. When you click on Window, it shows that there is a 1 and 2 of the document. However, where the original document is stored, there is only 1 copy. Even after closing out the document and reopening it, it opens 2 copies. How do I get rid of the second copy if there is really only 1?

Go to the second window and close it, then save your document. Your coworker accidently selected Window|New Window from the main menu.
