Open Excel files

Sorry, I don't see my 1st post listed so here goes again.

Is there a way to automate Excel so that it when I ask to open a file it automatically opens my new folder "Excel Files" that I've added to my desktop without having to click Desktop first? I'm trying to save a step. Thank you.

Under Tools|Options, select the General tab. In the box "Default file location" enter the path to your Desktop.
