need help with saving to data file

I want to be able to save data in colum B and some data in column C to a data file of some sort and then to retrieve the data when I want to. Some cells may be blank. Any suggestions?

Helen,

Type the column headers in two adjacent cells in columns B & C (eg. in cells B2 and C2). Click in cell B3, on the menu bar select Data, Form and click Ok. You should be given a data entry form with your column headers shown. Enter data as required, it also works with blanks.
