Maintain cell validation on paste

I have activated validation on a few columns in my worksheet. I then unlocked those cells and protected the rest of that sheet. When I enter in data it works just fine performing the correct validation. But, When I go to PASTE in data it deletes the validation in those cells. I need to find a way to allow pasting into those cells but still maintain the validation.

In Microsoft Excel 97, cells to which you apply data validation restrictions (using the Validation command on the Data menu) may accept invalid values if you paste data.
