Linking Multilpe Worksheets

Hello to all! I have approximately 6 workbooks with a total of about 16 worksheets. I would like to create a "Rollup" workbook summarizing all the data($ amount) per Region/Dicipline. e.g. East/Math, West/Reading, Southeast/Science and so on. I tried doing it the conventional way only to be told that the formula was too long. I've tried creating summaries for each worksheet, but it still appears too long.. These are pretty large spreadsheets and I can't seem to figure out how to consolidate all the info into one workbook by decreasing the formula size. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

you might try creating a summary sheet in each of the 6 books, then in your summary book, create a summary sheet for each of the 6 books, then a summary sheet summarizing the other six sheets. You can alway hide whatever sheets you don't want to display.
