Linking Excel to PowerPoint

Is there an easier way to link work done on excel to Powerpoint without using a basic cut and paste or paste special> picture> format?

i don't think it gets much simpler than cut and paste/paste special, but what did you have in mind?

If you're creating a presentation that will be updated regularly from excel, you'll need to set up the "paste-link" for each shared object manually the first time. Once that's done, each time you open your powerpoint presentation, it will be updated with the data from the shared link in excel.
