keystroke for paste link function

I use the paste link function very regularly, is there a way to make a keystroke (I.E. ctrl P) to replace
edit>paste special>paste link ?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

record a macro

You can record a macro that does that function, and assign it a keystroke. Reply back if you need further explanation.

Re: record a macro

I tried a macro, but the way I was trying to set it up, it was copying the same cell. I use the paste link function with many different cells.
Any suggestions?

Re: record a macro

u probably have it set to record an absolute reference. After creating macro, try going to view > toolbars > stop recording and click the relative reference button before you start processing your macro.
