Hi all,
Column A contains the following :
amount
2.00
4.00
5.00
7.00
-
9.00
8.00
-
7.00
6.00
-
8.00
-
8.00
-
7.00
6.00
4.00
where "-"s are zero values, formatted via the comma style icon in the format toolbar: the "," icon.
There's a simple autofilter button in A1.
Filtering on anything equal to zero returns nothing.
Filtering on anything not equal to "-" returns all rows.
Don't these two filter answers contradict each other ?
If it's recognising there are no zero values per se, wouldn't it then recognise that some cells *are* equal to what zero's been replaced with?

Yup, thanks Mark, that makes sense, but why would I get no rows returned when filtering on anything equal to zero ?

Ahh!! I'm wrong...
I forgot that the Custom criteria has a drop down
