How to protect one cell in various places in the spread sheet

You gave me a way to protect a complete colume,which is
good but I can't seem tp just do one cell here and then one cell someplace else in the spread sheet. Pease explain how to do this thank you

Select the individual cell(s), then click Format > Cells > Protection, select the "Locked" box, click OK, then go to Tools > Protection > Protect sheet, accept the defaults, enter an optional password, re-enter it as prompted, and click OK. Don't forget your password or you won't be able to unprotect it later.

multi select the cells so the protect worksheet will
work for you.
