How to protect just one cell in different places in spreadsheet

I have several spreadsheets that I put formules in and then I can't protect them and when my releif does the bookwork when I'm gone she always eraces them. I started out in 1986 with Super Cal 5 and I liked it very much, because you could go in and just do /P and that cell was then protected. Everyone says that excell will do the same thing but I have not found any one that can tell me how. If you can help me I would be ever so grateful.

Carolyn

Have you tried this:

-Select the whole worksheet (click in top left intersection or just hit Ctrl+A)
-Select from Main Menu Format/Cells/Protection
-Unselect the "Locked" option
-Click OK
All cells are now unlocked, now:
- Select all cells in which you have formulae
-Select Format/Cells/Protection
-Select the "Locked" option
All the cells containing formulae are now locked.
To activate the locking:
-Select Tools/Protection/Protect Sheet
-Enter password
Worksheet will be protected and the cells containing formulae cannot be changed.
All other cells remain unprotected and able to receive entries.

Any help?

Regards
