How to get a sum at the end of a column

How would you go about getting a sum at the end of a column, when you don't know what the last cell would always be and then delete the extra empty rows?

Sometimes I put the sum at the top... It's not pretty, but then you can just add an overly large range and always catch what you're looking for.
