Hi
Hope you guys can help.
How can I tell which version of excel a spreadsheet has been created in ? I have excel 97 sr-1. How can I tell if the sheets I get have been created in 2000 for example. I have tried looking at the properties of the file but can't see anything

try using the CELL function. various arguements can be used one of which returns the version
