How can i fill a cell automaticaly by entering the few letters?

Is it possible to specify an array for a specific cell to facilitate
the trade entry process?

Ex: In cell A1, if I type B, I would like the cell to be filled with BTRADE?

Thanks

Hello Steve,

Using your Excel help facility, search on Validation. I think it is what you want.

Hi Kevin,

By using validation it creates a combo box, but the box is not filled
automaticaly when I enter only the first few letters.

I was also interested in hearing this solution. It would be helpful to a spreadsheet I am working on where I am now using drop-down list. Is there another way such as the "quick-fill" used in Quicken, where after a few letters are typed in the cell the user is offered choices that most closely match his keystrokes?

Stu:

I'd be happy to send you a sample but I have noted that in all your postings you've never included an email address.
