Holding the title rows still while the rest of sheet rolls under it

Problem: I have a simple spreadsheet like below, the rows are REEEEEEAlly long over to the right and you can scroll for days. By the time I get over a little way, the "title" names are off the page and I don't know which figure corresponds with what "animal".
How can I program just that column to stay put so the figures scroll under them.

"TITLE"
Dogs 56 37 84 23 58 32 56 37 84
Cats 87 37 44 34 56 23
Bunnies x x x x x x x x x x
Turtles x x x x x x x x x x
Beatles x x x x x x x x x x

Thanks ahead of time from this Excel newbie.

If you want to see the animals in Presumably column A click on B1 then the Window Menu then freeze panes. If you want to see the Animals in col A and some label heading in row 1 click in cell B2 and windows freeze panes. To un freeze the panes click on the Windows menu then unfreeze panes. Also have a go go at splitting windows and see what that does.

Re: another thing

Another thing you might not be aware of is that in the Page Setup menu you can print said rows columns at the front of all the pages to be printed, (it's under the sheet page of the setup) so the titles remain at the front of the printouts, very handy for large amounts of data.
