Hiding the contents of cells in printed hard copy

I would like to use cell A6 to instruct user to input
certain data into cell E6 but need to hide the two
cells when the form is printed out. The data in cell E6
(ref. 0020, 0030, 0040 etc) will be converted to
generate a bar code font of the number in another cell.
This document will be printed out and used as a hard
copy form.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Why not try changing the font color to white?

Have you considered setting the two cells up so that they are outside the printable range in Page break view?
