Help - Beginners Trouble - Need Expert Advice

I'm creating an excel spreadsheet and need to move data from one sheet within the file to another.

The data needs to be placed in 1 column as next week I require furhter data to be drawn out of the original sheet and to be placed next to the original data in column 2 (& so forth).

I think i need to use Visual Basic/Macros, but i have no idea how to use them or where to find a good sample code.

If any one can help I'd be really grateful.
