Freezing Top Row

I have a sheet with columns of data, each column has a text header.

Is it possible to just freeze the top row of headers when scrolling?. I tried the freeze pane setting but it limits what data can be viewed due to screen size.

1. Unfreeze any existing panes
2. Select cell A2
3. Re-freeze panes
